Fundamentals of Yoga
This yoga class is for new and continuing students. Focus on standing postures to bring elasticity to joints and muscles; build stamina and stability, introduces forward bends and shoulder balance. Choose gentle/restorative if you have auto/immune illness or are weak, sad, or tired.
Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement,” and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow.
Yoga to relax and destress. Aids chronic pain, especially therapeutic for people recovering from illness or life transitions. Focus on modalities that soften, strengthen and stabilize challenges in our bodies. We customize sequences for back pain, neck pain, hip problems, sinus, and all common health ailments.
Yin yoga targets the connective tissues in the body. In this more passive practice the postures are held for extended periods of time, allowing the connective tissues to stretch and open, leading to increased flexibility. This Daoist based practice is designed to recharge the energetic body and provides a beautiful balance to our more active (yang) practice.
