She uses a combination of modalities to encourage healing, pain reduction, stress management and balance of mind, body and spirit. Joanie is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Yoga Alliance 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She has been teaching yoga for the last ten years and graduated from Wellspring School of Allied Health with her Massage Therapy Certification in 2014. She received certification in myofascial release in Sedona, AZ in 2018.

She is inspired by a number of different styles of bodywork including Swedish, Esalen style, treatment/injury massage, deep tissue, hot stone, and relaxation. She offers 60, 75, 90 and 120 minute massages and is available for on-site 15 or 20 minute chair massages for corporate events or as part of a company’s health and wellness benefit offering.

Being certified in myofascial release, Joanie has helped many clients with relief from conditions ranging from back pain to carpal tunnel syndrome, from TMJ to lymphedema. This particular modality has enabled her clients to embark on the journey of self-healing.

Joanie has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for the last 10 years. She believes that yoga has wide ranging benefits for all who come to it. Her teaching philosophy is based on meeting each student where they are on their path and allowing all students to feel comfortable and successful. Joanie’s favorite part of her own practice is her meditation and she incorporates that fully into her classes while keeping it light and fun.
